Liquid Vitamin D3 with K2

Often called the 'sunshine vitamin', vitamin D plays an integral role in skin protection and rejuvenation. In its active form as calcitriol, vitamin D contributes to skin cell growth, repair, and metabolism. It enhances the skin's immune system and helps to destroy free radicals that can cause dry, red, peeling skin.

There is evidence suggesting an association between eczema and vitamin D deficiency. Several studies have found that individuals with eczema tend to have lower levels of vitamin D compared to those without the condition. It has been shown to enhance the function of various immune cells, including T cells and macrophages, which are responsible for identifying and destroying pathogens such as bacteria and viruses. Vitamin D also helps regulate the production of antimicrobial peptides, which are small proteins that can directly kill bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms. 

Lastly, vitamin D modulates the inflammatory response, helping to prevent excessive inflammation while still effectively combating infections. Studies have found that maintaining adequate vitamin D levels may reduce the risk of respiratory tract infections, influenza, and other infectious diseases.
